The Baltic Sea Coast of Germany, 2021

 

haku sungho has been working on his work Sway since 2019, in which he uses marine plastics(HDPE) to make LP blank discs on which he engraves the sound of ocean waves from which the plastic wastes were collected. This noisy sound is played back with the image of the ocean waves.

Research and collecting materials has been conducted on the islands of Rügen (Göhren, Baabe, Selling, Binz), Warnemünde, Kiel, Schönenberg, Travemünde and Timmendorf, so far.
